January 13: Please read the note below the strip.

Updated every Friday.

January 13: It's not quite been a year and a day, but this will be the last "Nine Lives, Many Masters."

More than anything, I want to thank all of the readers who've enjoyed the strip, especially the folks who've emailed me, signed my guestbook, or talked on my LiveJournal. As much as I've had fun doing 9LMM -- and, for the most part, I have -- it wouldn't have been anywhere near as rewarding as it was if not for you folks. Many of the things you've said, or told me about, have, literally, been inspirational. (Of course, reading the reader comments on WitchVox, as well as some of the dodgier essays -- that is, after all, where I discovered the Mi'nerwens -- has been plenty inspirational, as well. And, at the same time, nauseating. Which you, dear readers, most certainly are not.)

But, the time has come for me to move on. Honestly, things have never quite been the same (in a lot of ways) since we lost our baby in August. Trying to do much of anything that wasn't bitter or angry or just plain morose was a hell of a trial for a while there, and, while that isn't the main reason I decided to stop doing 9LMM, it does have bearing.

Really, what it comes down to, I think, is that I said what I wanted to say. I have other things I want to say (or show or perform or ... ) but they don't fit in 9LMM, and the strip was taking up a lot of my creative energy, if only in the sense that I'd feel I should be working on the strip rather than do most any other creative work. Yes, I suck at multitasking. Always have.

Thank you, again. I'll still be posting new art & music to the site, as they're created. However, as I'm moving in about two months, I probably won't be doing much until after that's settled. But you never know. So check back to Crazyquilt Arts now and again.
